Level 3 Diploma CYPW

Find focussed support for linking role to standards here
===============================================

Hi,
I started the level 3 diploma in Sept and wondered if anyone could help with Unit 3.3 criteria 1.2.
It asks for an explanation of how own work role links to the 'standards'. I just wanted clarification if this is referring to the EYFS statutory framework or additional legislations/codes of practice....
Thank you!

yes it is EYFS as that's the statutory framework with standards in that all registered settings are expected to follow. Following EYFS in England's settings also ensures that the NOS - national occupational standards are complied with.

It'll help if you can get a copy of your work contract or a job description plus any duties or responsibilities that you're expected to carry out.

This thread has a list of the NOS national occupational standard titles that you can see might apply to you and your work - they won't all necessary apply.

Searching on silkysteps finds other peoples replies and a book for SHC 32 is really helpful.

This is what I did

Common core standards or best practice - helped me to explain how I'm to try and develop any weak areas that I discover while experiencing the children’s capabilities, for example dealing with discrimination and challenging behaviour.
