Default Minutes of meetings?

Hi
I currently work in a parent committee run pre-school and although a member of staff my little boy also attends. I just wondered what people thought of the following:
Should all parents whose children attend the setting be given/allowed access to the minutes of the committee meetings?
I know there may well be confidential items such as staff wages etc but surely they can be ommitted?
Not sure if there is a law about this?
Its just cropped up as a saw a member on here talking about their notice board and there are copies of the minutes on there.
I think that the parents should be given copies...more open policy and not a them and us situation?
What do you think?
Thanks
