Five hairy spiders
on an indoor web,
big fuzzy bodies swinging low on sticky threads.
Along came .... (insert child's name)
with a pot and a slide
caught a hairy spider
and took it back outside
Hear the rhyme read aloud, add
your child and children's names at the pause after 'along came ..

Depending
how you'd like to use this resource please select the spiderweb
images to match.
A plain web picture is provided alongside inside
and outside page toppers to help visualise the two living ennvironments
of the spiders in the rhyme. Print and cut out two copies of the
spiderweb and attatch a topper image to each.
Print and trim a required number of spiders and adapt
the rhyming number accordingly.
To roleplay catching a spider, print the paper pot images or use real pots and slides.
