Cheerful Tudor Food - Pottage

Tudor Pottage (or Potage) was a dish served as a thick veggie soup !

Our Elephant Stew - Pottage lends itself perfectly to an interactive resource for any age group .. and is available to buy & download immediately !

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Resources and ideas for these suggestions are not contained in the PDF .. you will need your own set of pictures, letters, questions, answers and connections/network to pass the numberline project on to !!
Interactivity age
All adaptable right across the age ranges !
Preschool ~ Home corner resource, lotto & matching game board bases, free flow colouring & activity sheets.
Self registration board - add the children's names instead of the numbers.
Playdough role play - sculpture/modelling vegetables.
Reception ~ Peeling, Chopping and cooking - following instructions and ordering the process of actions.
KS1 ~ Numberline, letter line, ingredients / vegetables - texture, taste and descriptve words/names.
KS2 ~ Interactive FAQ or question & answer system - question on one side of the saucepan inner & answer on the back !
Classroom decoration - just smile when you're asked what it's for !! lol
Key stage 3 .. especially if the line/resource is made for a creche or local nursery !!
Nutritional content, origin of country - necessary growing conditions & harvest times.
Local production, companies .. price, weights, distribution, brand & design .. School dinners - menus.
Other ideas ...
Acronyms - make up the single letters for the weekdays.. spread them across the 'line and let the children freely rearrange them into the correct spelling !
Spot the odd one out - Have a 'rogue ingredient in a line of pictures ..
EG: Carrot, onion, potato, chocolate & swede
