Help SOS Working in partnership with parents and others in early years settings

Hi, this is my last unit and I just need a nudge in the right direction with these few questions. As usual any help would be great, Ive read my books and I can't quite figure out what is relevant and what isn't...

Any web links etc would be awesome.

- Explain the legislation, guidance, policies and procedures relating to partnership working in early years settings.

- Analyse the importance of working in partnership with colleagues and others to meet the needs of babies and children, enabling them to progress.

- Explain how to overcome barriers to integrated working with parents and/or carers.

- Analyse the principles and values that underpin parental and/or carer involvement in a child’s learning and development.

Thank you in advance!

Partnership is down to every member of staff. It is important for many reasons including : Ensures consistency between staff child and parents, enhances a childs learning, confidence, skills and understanding and is it resolves any differences and conflict. If everyone is working in partnership children are encourages to overcome any disadvantage they have, which is principly means that the childs welfare is paramount. Children will mirror behaviour so if they see parents and staff making a positive relationship this will pass onto them. One of the prinicples of working with young children is that staff work withfamilies in the care, learning and development of the child. We learn from the child. Partnership is key to this.
