Hi,
Statutory-is a legal requirement stating the provider must take necessary steps for safeguarding and promoting children's welfare. The provider must have suitable premises, environment and equipment, suitable staffing, proper documentation an records in all settings

Non-statutory- relates to good practice in the setting, teachers following the interests of the children and encouraging them to see the links in their learning. Children should have opportunities learning through well planned and challenging play.

Hope this helps(I know what it's like getting stuck)
