AC 3.4 Maintaining confidentiality and the need to disclose information
We saw in LO1 that maintaining confidentiality is important in partnership work in order for others to trust you. There are times, thought, when you would be justified in breaking confidentiality. It is important for everyone working with children to understand the three situations in which you might break confidentiality:
1. when poor practice is identified
2. where a child is at risk
3. when it is suspected that a crime has been/may be committed.
