Hi there
At last. I have just found someone else stuck on this question and wondered if you had any replies with ideas?

I volunteer in a school once a week where all the children are white and no one has English as their second language so struggling a bit. I am looking for activities that "respects cultural, religious and ethnic diferences." We have lots of books to read but was looking for something a little more interesting for a reception class or year 2 class.
Any ideas anyone???

same struggle here.
We have a Child with SEN so I am able to do a direct activity with him as I am adapting things to meet his individual needs. Simplify activities, ensure he is included etc but other than that we do not have any cultural diversity, religion, race etc :( So hard to do.

Also think of when doing mum/fathers day cards.. Not all children come from a home with both parents .
Children who are visually impaired - How could you include them?
Maybe a new starter who speaks English but also Spanish / Italian etc.
