Hi, a reflective account will apply to your working practice.
Can you identify a time at your setting/placement where you've been part of a numeracy activitiy and supported a child in their math and problem solving skills?
You could approach your RA by looking at the activity you're recalling and considering how ...
- You clarified learning objectives with the teacher
- Demonstrate understanding of the context in which the learning is taking place
-- eg. what environment were you using for the activity and how supportive was it .. noisy, quiet, bright, dark, hot, cold, large group, small group, solitary or pair grouping? and are any specific learning needs involved, curriculum
- Clarify the learning strategies to be used with the teacher and implement as agreed
childrens learning styles
- Use resources as agreed with teacher
- Support learner with literacy and numeracy activities as appropriate to age and level and as agreed with teacher
More helpful details are in the
OCR unit 4 pdf
Applying numeracy to problem solving skills will depend which age groups you work with and how numeracy and problem solving skills are documented in a framework.
