Cheerful Water Spinner

A simple, fun experiment.

Punch 4 holes in the bottom of an empty drinks can with a nail. Tie a length of cotton thread to the tab and suspend over a bucket. Ask the children what they think will happen if you fill the can with water, then do it and watch the can spin as the water drains out.
