402 promoting children's assertiveness, self confidence

I'm having a problem - brain block on how to write what I need to for this question. Does anyone have any pointers??

I wrote about stranger danger and how we need to teach children to say no how we need to promote childrens self assesertiveness confidence and self esteem to give them the skills needed to do this.
it is vital to teach children to respect other cultures and to know what to expect regarding different customs etc so they are able to accept them and respect them, when a child does something well we talk to parents, who then hopefully praise the child which then boosts the childs confidence.
Colleagues need regular praise and encouragement and we need to model good practice to enable us to pass on new skills to staff
hope thats some pointers that help.

for this question i referred to questions K4P779 and K4S794 as these questions also covered part of this question. I then added the following
age appropriate play activities e.g role play, small scale toys such as the dolls house, stories etc, all geared to the individual child’s developmental stage, pre-school workers can then help equip children with the appropriate language and skills to protect themselves and become more assertive. Children need to be nurtured within a warm stimulating environment being cared for by adult who are confident and comfortable within their role as early year’s workers. Children need to be praised and rewarded with smiles and adult attention frequently, with good clear boundaries that all adult are continually working towards. All this will help to build the children’s confidence and self esteem.
Staff who have appropriate child care training, have attended appropriate child protections courses will be more confident when dealing with situations of a delicate nature. It may be necessary to provide extra support to any staff member who may have experienced any of the above personally; it is possible that old wounds may be re-opened for them.
