Hi Lynne...
Thank you that, I had another go at it before I saw your reply and have handed it in, this it what I wrote:-
All young people are entitled to be treated the same whether they have a disability or not. We tend to the needs of the young people we support, including other agencies if necessary.
The ‘Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001’ requires schools, colleges, universities, adult education providers and local education authorities to make reasonable ‘provisions’, to ensure people with disabilities were provided with the same opportunities as others.
The ‘Human Rights Act’ states that children and young people have the right not to be
discriminated against. They have the right to enjoy all their convention rights without discrimination, such as the right to think and believe what they like and the right to education.
We ensure inclusion of all young people we support regardless of their level of disability. We ensure each young person’s needs are the main focus and we support them appropriately to their individual needs and levels. Each young person is given the same amount of support and their needs are met accordingly.
I hope its ok..
Stella
