Mood descriptors are words that sum up how someone appears to be feeling emotionally where modes of behaviour descibes actions.
Moods ..
Happy - smiling and co-operating with each other
Independent - child is self sifficient and free, happily working alone or leading play
Confident - children are self-assured and positive in their actions often taking the lead
Altruistic - children are unselfish and self-sacrificing when playing with other children allowing others to take control
Trusting - children have faith in others and are happy to be led by other childen following direction without question
Balanced - children are stable and even-handed, taking turns and being aware of others needs
Active or immersed - children are engrossed and absorbed in play, making no demands on staff or other children
At ease - children will get on with whatever they are doing with minimal intervention the play is simple and straightforward and generally undemanding.
