General question Funding issue.

Hi everyone. I am new to this site but am due to be finishing my nvq soon. My end date is 17th March but am still waiting to hear if I have been given an extention.
There was a long delay at the start of my course due to assessor not being able to get time out of her job to see me so was given another assessor who was covering maternity leave for the person who is my assessor now. Confusing eh?
I have only been observed once and I still have three units left to do. We were all told at the start that we had to complete the course in 10 months otherwise we wouldn't get the funding and would have to pay for the course out of our own pocket!! Was anyone else told this? I really hope I get the extention cos there's no way I can complete before 17th March and I don't have the money to pay for the course.

My friend is going through something similar she is doing her level 3 but her assessor was also new to level 3 and didn't set enough work for my friend the manager of the setting and my friend have made an offical complaint about this and my friend is paying monthly for her course just to get it finished but hopes the complanit will go in her favour and the money will be refunded . I don't know what will happern but I would talk to your college and manager of your setting and may be you might have a case were you can get expended .But it is always said if you don't finish the course on time you pay but this is due to you not working hard enough so fingers crossed you will get your extension.
