SOS Purposeful play HELP needed

Hi,
Can anyone explain to me what an Educational Programme is in relation to the EYFs and purposeful play?
I used to be a Reception teacher before I started working in a nursery and so to me Educational programmes relate to ways in which we would teach phonics, maths schemes etc used within the school and this obviously doesn't relate to life in a nursery.

Any help would be great. my question says " identify activities.... and educational programmes that can be used for learning and development in line with the current education framework"

Hi, you are right, educational programmes of play will relate less to the academic requirements you might fins in a reception class or year 1 and more to the way your setting organises its day-to-day opportunities for children to learn through play. As an example, there well maybe a phonics programme in place in a nursery/preschool but it will look different to that of a reception class. You may even find the nursery works in partnership with a local school so that each other's choice of programme compliments the child's progression from nursery to school.

Underpinning themes or the way topical work is approached for awareness campaigns such as road safety, hand washing & dental care.

Although dated 2009 this word.doc from www.thegrid.org.uk is a useful read https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...FB-LcQB6PtFn10

Thank you so much for your help with this. I submitted the assignment, as a booklet, and got some lovely feedback from my tutor
