Default Any one in Scotland doing SVQ3

I'm starting next month and not sure what to expect. I'm 38 and returning to work after 9 years raising my children. It's a career change too. I can't find any other groups or Facebook ones that cover svq3 for general question. Can any one help?

Hi a very warm welcome to the site. The unit criteria is similar across the UK so it's hopeful you'd find information on here to help :)

To prepare I'd suggest you talk to your setting/placement about the qualification and how they support colleagues eg. with a handbook, copies of policies and procedures, details of initiatives, campaigns, phonic and numeracy programmes in use and a list of your professional duties, role & responsibilities, job contract.

I'm sure Scottish members will add on with a hello & advice where they can :)

Best wishes with your study and look forward to hearing how you get on. Please post whenever you need to xx

Hi Suzie, I am doing it and am quite a few years older than you! It is fine, not sure how far through it I am. I have until next May to finish it so hoping I am on track. I am finding it very hard to find any sites or groups too that are doing the svq 3. I am a childminder. Are you a childminder or working in a nursery?x
