Hi, welcome to silkysteps this quote is from page 119 of the Heinmann handbook - on amazon.co.uk

Quote:
Parents leave children in your care with the expectationthat they can trust you and your colleagues to keep their children from harm.
Failing to keep children safe may breach your legal duties and the setting's professional values.

For 2.4. Describe the roles and responsibilities of the different organisations that may be involved when a child or young person has been abused or harmed the search page will help find other threads and posts

The 3.3 unit lists different organisations for 2.4 as
• Social services
• NSPCC
• Health visiting
• GP
• Probation
• Police
• School
• Psychology service

Who your setting works in partnership with / multi agncy apporach will differ. Can you check your policies and procedures for more info?

3.2 Policies and practice for safe working e.g.
• Working in an open and transparent way
• Listening to children and young people
• Duty of care
• Whistleblowing
• Power and positions of trust
• Propriety and behaviour
• Physical contact
• Intimate personal care
• Off site visits
• Photography and video
• Sharing concerns and recording/ reporting incidents

Hth, enjoy the site xx
