Hi, to help with 1. feeling comfortable is a sense of well-being that enables security to be felt, being safe and reassured. These emotions enable children to feel confident and with supportive non-judgemental others around them are able to move, reach out, examine, touch and explore. This relaxed and welcoming environment encourages children to engage with their surroundings and the resources available that contain aspects of learning for the children to encounter.
For 2. you'll need to look at your setting's layout and with the description provided by the Welsh CCLD 3.1 support children's experiental learning -
unit preview on google see what provision there is for physical development eg. water, sand, dough, ride ons, climbing, running, dance ..
Quote:
Continuous and enhanced provision
Continuous provision describes the basic provision in all the physical areas of the setting covering all the areas of learning. These provide the secure environment needed to foster children’s confidence.
Enhanced provision describes the adjustment and enrichment of the environment to meet individual child or group needs and interests

Researching David Kolb's experiential learning theory may help - google search for
experiential learning definition
Monitoring how the play area supports experimental or experiential learning will depend on what the setting does, the room's layout, what's provided, when. Do you identify areas that children are less interested in or that become too busy/crowded. Do any areas trigger more incidents than others, what impact does the variety of resources have in the setting/ placement. How does planning and sharing information help.
Best wishes
