Cheerful Tents for the Summer Hols!

Looking for an activity to keep your children occupied during the summer Holidays?

Tents and 'Making Home' is brilliant

Take a kitchen table out side and drape a double bed sheet over the top ... give them a few ideas on what they can use indoors to make it comfortable .. and so that they don't take your best cushions !!

Two Chairs make a good frame as well ... stand them apart from each other and tie the sheet from one to the other ~ this tent will need more fixing to keep it in place .... but to keep the 'Roof' seam taught - tie a length of rope between the chair backs (Like a tightrope!!) and peg the sheet over it!

Pop up and 'wendy' house frames are also great for home/den making!

My three also enjoy using my clothes airers for making dens/ tents with sheets (preferably old!!) and clothes pegs. It keeps them occupied for hours, even on wet days they will make them indoors and sometimes sleep in them over night (indoors only).
