I covered this by having the children help me change to role play area while my assessor was there.!!!! Took her by surprise but I covered loads. I continually asked the children where they wanted things put and told her we had already discussed what the role play area was going to be. We took photos of us moving it all and displayed this in the area. They also did some art work connected to the role play area (it became a bedroom with a bed , bedside lamps (IT) a book shelf , teddies, a tape recorder for playing soft music etc. The art work were beds made with materials , books to hang at a low level . The materials covered tactile.

I think the performance criteria themselves are pretty self explanitory, actually. You just need to think of examples of when you have done these things yourself in your setting and write about them in a reflective account to get these signed off.

Ray has very kindly given you an example of how he got his signed off - now can you think of similar activities you have carried out in your setting which cover the pcs? Good luck!

Absolutely right Tutu !!!! Many assessors try to get out of coming to settings to observe their students PERFORMING their Performance Criteria. Mine was brilliant and would be busily muttering into her dicta phone the whole time she was in the room with a little entourage of my class her around muttering into bits of stickle brick, lego or other things in imitation LOL.......She covered loads of my PC,s that way

yeah well said tutu and ray, my assessor has also observed me doing these things and then asked me to write a reflective account on how i did it, which also helped to cover some of the other elements within the unit.
