Help SOS Help please on p.c.s for unit 305

Hi

can anyone help me please, I'm really struggling to write about the p.c.s on this one - am nearly pulling my hair out! This is my last bit of work before I finish but i can't seem to get anywhere. I'm hoping to get my certificate before college finishes this year but this is my last hurdle .

Would be so grateful for any pointers please, thanx very much.

305.1

pc6 find apropriate ways to provide information about equality of access to children and families who have found services hard to access.

pc7 provide information to children about their rights and responsibilities in the context of your setting.

305.2

PC3 assess and contribute to meeting the individual needs of children.

pc4 organise the provision to facilitate access and participation for disabled children and children with special educational needs.

pc6 monitor by collecting relevant, data and evaulate how effective your provision is in implementing inclusive practice and implement change to improve the service you offer.

305.3

pc1 maintain and follow organisational procedures for the protection and safeguarding of children.

pc2 follow policies and procedures for safeguarding children in your local area.

pc3 recognise indicators of possible child abuse.

pc4 help children to protect themselves from abuse.

pc5 respond sensitively to a child's disclosure of abuse.

pc6 promote an environment of openness and trust, allowing children to express themselves in their chosen way.

pc7 follow safe working practices that protect children and practitioners.

Thanks again for any help, i really appreciate it.

Hi,

Protect and promote children’s rights - 305.2 1. Use inclusive and anti-discriminatory practice in planning and delivery of provision, according to current guidance?

This is performance criteria so maybe your assessor/tutor will see how you meet the needs of all the children in your group when they visit. Ahead of this, maybe you plan at meetings to include books, storytelling that support children's right to be safe from harm, not experience discrimination, resources that promote & explore cultures, countries, a right to have beliefs, skin colours, disability with awareness of the damage that prejudice, exclusion causes.

This page of the site has links to downloads that help understand children's rights - UNCRC

Hth, enjoy the site xx
