What are'children's rights'?
Children are entitled to basic human
rights such as food, health care, a safe home and protection from abuse.
However, children are a special case because they cannot always stand up
for themselves. They need a special set of rights which takes account of their
vulnerability and which ensures that adults take responsibilitiy for their
protection and development.
