Hi, if you're in England the practice guidance booklet / cards are the non-statutory element of eyfs - last link on this page, it exists to help ensure settings see ways of complying with the statutory requirements xx

--------------------------
EYMP 3 1.1 explain the welfare requirements and guidance of the relevant early years framework
CU1535 - Promote children's welfare and well being in the early years
Level 3 handbook

Hi, no not the same, some of the guidance documents outside of the actual foundation phase's statutory framework & statutory assessment requirements can be found on this page of Wales.gov.uk

Inside the framework, if you press the Ctrl button on your keyboard and the F key together, it'll open up a 'find panel on the right hand side of the PDF. Enter 'statutory' into the search field to locate what the Welsh EY's framework expects relevant settings to have implemented xx

ahh, the welfare requirements are organised a little differently, the welsh standards are regulated by the CSSIW, they're published independantly of the foundation phase framework. You can find them on this link Welsh childminding and daycare services and the launch page on CSSIW

Differences ..
ENGLAND's:
Framework for early years currently 0 - 5 years old: EYFS early years foundation stage
Statutory framework contains:
2008: 6 areas of learning, developmental information, welfare requirements, 69 early learning goals, assessment information
2012: 7 areas of learning, development information, welfare requirements, 17 headings to cover 48 early learning goals, assessment and reporting information.
+ Additional guidance materials to support the implemetnation of eyfs
Aim of framework is to secure positive outcomes for all children and fulfil the aspirations of Every Child Matters.
Inspection regulated by OfStEd
Whistleblowing hotline managed by OfStEd
SEF self evaluation form managed by OfStEd

WALES':
1. National minimum standards
2. Framework for early years currently 3 - 7 years old: FP foundation phase: 7 areas of learning, development information & outcomes
Flying start funding to support 0 - 3s
3. Statutory assessment whilst end of foundation phase assessment and reporting arrangements are a statutory part of a child's time in the programme, the book is guidance
+ Suite of guidance materials to support implementation of the Foundation phase
Aim of framework is to secure positive outcomes for all children through the fulfilment of children's rights as found within the UNCRC and aspirations of the Government's own commitment to learning and positive outcomes.
Inspection regulated by Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW)
Inspection carried out by ESTYN
About Estyn and the Glossary of terms is a good read
Self evaluation manual

Whistleblowing - model policy for schools page 17 details how to raise a concern and pg 23 provides a list of contacts external to an organisation.

It's a big read - safeguarding children working together under the childrens act 2004 is excellent, take a little time over it as you'll find it covers a huge amount of safeguarding, child protection information.
Your local .gov.uk website & LSCB site will also help with how the information in that document is delivered locally.

Hth xx
