CYP 3.3- understand how to safeguard the well-being of children and young people

Hi all
I'm doing unit cyp 3.3 safeguarding. I have just completed AC 1.1, and now I can't get started on

1.2 - Explain child protection within the wider concept of safeguarding children and young people. Now, I'm thinking I have to write about legislation/policies relating to issues such as bullying, keeping children safe, forced marriages, and then relate to how I apply them within my setting? Am I on the right lines?
I hope someone can shed some light. arrgghh I neeed chocolate! I need to complete this by the end of this week

safeguarding is an umbrella term which includes everything we do that keeps children safe SO if child protection is one part of this what are the other parts. no law here and nothing about cp!

Hi, this is what I wrote...

Safeguarding is an umbrella term that involves everything adults and professionals working with children and young people do to ensure children are kept safe and healthy. This covers all our safe working practices, for example, CRB check procedures, data protection, all legislation dealing with children’s rights and human rights, health and safety, risk assessments, visitors in school, and e-safety etc. Child protection is one aspect of safeguarding, and the term is often used for policies and procedures which should be followed in the event of suspected harm or abuse.
