Hi, this is what I wrote...
Safeguarding is an umbrella term that involves everything adults and professionals working with children and young people do to ensure children are kept safe and healthy. This covers all our safe working practices, for example, CRB check procedures, data protection, all legislation dealing with children’s rights and
human rights, health and safety, risk assessments, visitors in school, and e-safety etc. Child protection is one aspect of safeguarding, and the term is often used for policies and procedures which should be followed in the event of suspected harm or abuse.
