Lightbulb Free road safety training ..

Surestart were asking PTA members to consider attending some free road safety training days today.

I have just emailed to see if they are doing courses in Cornwall we always seem to get left out will keep you posted

Yep unfortunately i was right dont do courses in Cornwall but they emailed back quickly anyone interested should be able to find out easily if course in their area we down south loose out again always the case

No but i am guessing it is because Cornwall may as well be in another country, for some reason most courses dont like coming down here and feel that we arent up to par with the rest of the country.

Hmm .. I wasn't around for the much more 'partnership aspects of Preschool & LA's that's being promoted & recommended now.

Have you tried it from the other side & contacted Cornwall LA to see if they're interested in getting Brake.orgs courses onto their Training list/courses for consideration .. I would think Country Lanes have statistics as well as the larger busier roads.

Cornwall.gov.uk road safety has one of the better pages of information I've come across, so am thinking they might be interested in suggestions and possible points of contact ...

Thankyou for that will give it a go. There's a definite need for that here i implemented one of my own with material from brake and got the local police in to talk to the children, but it would be good to know if what you do is right. I only remember Tufty!!!! and what i taught my own children
