Hi, this is based on your setting or work placements own practice.
Areas of learning could be a book area, messy play trays, table tops, floor space, outdoor grassed, ramp areas, benches, large play equipment?
The activities planned might be construction - building bricks, jigsaws, collage, Physical - climbing frames, running games, storytimes, puppet play
Each of these has the potential to support children's SL and communication by bringing together pairs or larger groups to chat, explore resources, share own language and personal experiences, understand turn taking, discover new words, experiment with body language, facial features as a way of communicating preferences, needs, feelings & emotions.
The key factors listed in Unit 068 or aka
EYMP 5 are
• the physical environment
• staff roles andresponsibilities
• training needs andopportunities
• views of the child
• appropriate involvement of carers
The areas of learning as detailed in your home nation's framework might also help - eg if you work in England the
EYFS will provide evidence.
EYMP 5 on talking point will help more
