I have a question STLS 2.1 Influences that affect childrens development

Hi!!!

I'm new to this I hope someone can help... I've just started my QCF level 2 Supporting teaching and learning in schools and I'm struggling a bit as this is the first time I've studied since school 13 years ago!!!

I'm stuck on unit 2, 2.1 describe with examples the kinds of influences that affect childrens development. I'm ging to use health, family background, socio economic status and environment. If anyone can help with any of these I'd really appreciate it!!

Thanks xXx

Hi, a warm welcome to the site. You'll find a handbook most supportive - this title on amazon.co.uk will help xx

From the level 2 CYPw book you're looking at the influences being children's background, their environment, health, family dynamics, structure and parenting styles, poverty, culture and religion if any, sleep, diet, educational opportunities for learning, play and stimulation, language and interaction, opportunities to be active, safety.

Best wishes xx

Hey!! I think I was reading too much into it in the beginning, once I knew what needed to be included it was pretty easy!! How are you getting on with it?

Hi,
I haven't got any further with it, sort of ground to a halt last weekend and not had chance to have another look at it yet as been in school four days this week. Will try and get back on it tomorrow or the weekend.
How many examples did you give and how much detail did you put for each example?
Xx
