Can anyone help me with this question pls.
Explain why schools have policies and procedures
I have a brief answer but need more info.

All schools and other organisations are required to have school policies and procedures. This is a legal requirement so that parents, staff, governors and others who work and helps run the school are able to work from a comprehensible set of guidelines. There are usually a large number of policies for one school. Each school may title them differently; however they all need to outline the school’s purpose, aims and responsibilities of the staff. At my school all policies can be found in the head teacher office within a contained cupboard all labelled up with titles on the folders. Some school policies are available on school website also.[/i]

Hi, welcome to the site, reads nicely :) every school needs policies and procedures to make sure everyone knows what's expected, what to do and how to do it. They also provide the evidence that's necessary to show how a school complies with law and regulation.

Maybe include the type of your school, titles of the policies and explain why each is needed? safeguarding, staff, pupil welfare, teaching & learning, equality diversity and inclusion, parental engagement?

Hope this helps xx
