Default transformation fund

hi,cybertwin,
transformation fund is from government to enable setting to meet the criteria of having a graduate run an early setting by 2015 amongst other training
If you already have a graduate in your setting you can apply.
we have a teacher already on our staff who will be helping run thing while i am busy getting my degree so we will be eligable (I hope)
£5000 for two years so far
It will also cover other staf training aswell as any cover i have had to have while having time out.

I have been told today to "get my finger out and book yourself into the FD" so I'm going to do just that, but probably after christmas....................can you apply at any time, or is it just at the start of an academic year??

Hi
Thought i would update everyone. well uni is damn hard work!!! so far have learnt how to write and essay, use computer system and on the first day was given first 1000 word essay!.and read loads and loads, we have a reading list every week
today will be my third day!!. but it is great fun, meeting new people and learning
as for funding - we are applying for course fees from hampshire county council, an other grant hopefully for a laptop from cwdc, and another one from a staff developemnt folder that we have (from county again ) i think.
there may be more out there.
we cannot apply for the transformation fund as we are not full day care!!!!!!! but this may change, think is preschools are being overlooked again!
