SOS help
Hello, please can somebody help me on SHC32 1.2. Explain expectations about own work role as expressed in relevant standards.
I am new to this forum. I started this course last Aug and have 3 more months left and am finding the written assignments really difficult. I have been through some of the threads relating to this question and I understand that I need to go through the policies and procedures and NOS and then link them to my own work role. My problem is I just don't know where to start or how to start writing. eg one of my duty is "To provide high standards of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children" and I don't really know how to link this to NOS or the legislations. If someone can help me start it would really help me.
Thanks in advance

I looked through the EYFS and picked out the points that were relevant to my position.

What I put:

from the EYFS

Observe and reflect on children’s spontaneous play
- Build on this by planning and resourcing a challenging environment which supports and extends specific areas of learning and extends and develops children’s language and communication in their play
- Provide personalised learning, development and support tailored to the needs of individual children
- Plan appropriate play and learning experiences based on the children’s needs and interests
- Identify any concerns about a child’s development

Involve parents in their child’s learning and development
- Get to know the child better
- develop positive relationships with the child and their parents

Engage in regular cycles of planning and review; understand and engage in informed reflective practice
- Use assessments to plan the next steps in a child’s developmental progress and regularly review this approach
Work together with other practitioners and parents to support transitions
Regularly undergo risk assessments
