Default approches to cchildren to help them take part in activities?

At the beginning of each week we ask the children what activities they would like to do. We get them involved in getting out the resources for the activities and we take photos of them doing the activities which we display on the walls and in room book with " speech bubbles" attached with comments from the children during the activity. We usually " model" the activity by joining in whatever it is..... e.g if its a craft activity we make one ourselves.....
