Help! CYP Core 3.4

Hi

I'm currently doing my level 2, but have been given this unit as one of our optional one.

I have to do task 1 and if we're feeling upto it task 2 also. Well i'm wondering if anybody could advise me or at least guide me to the right path.

Ideas and suggestions PLEASE!

I have to link this to outcome 1 criteria 1.1, 1.2,1.3 & 1.4

I have to provide a resource to inform staff in the setting about health and safety issues.

Without writing it all down about what i'm supposed to do... i'm hoping someone out there knows what i'm talking about.

Lelly x

1.1 risk assessmnets and health and safety
1.2 risk assessments and health and safety
1.3 EYFS and health and safety.
1.4 Look at health and safety policies and procedures and link them with current legislation.
 Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) risk assessments etc
 Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH)
(2002
 Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (as amended)

hope it helps a little rather than confuse you, maybe just go on risk assessments, EYFS and health and safety at work act and policy and procedure.

Lynne

Hi, could you make a leaflet or a poster that details some health & safety issues?

Daily risk assessments help to ensure a safe working environment/practice.
Storing hazardous cleaning chemicals appropriately ensures our setting conforms with COSHH regulations
We have a fridge to keep foods at recommended temperatures.
The maintenance ladders are kept in a locked shed when not in use.
Bending knees helps to prevent huge owies when picking up and putting down :) - lifting safely manual handling images on HSE page 3 of this doc and an image search on google
We have a fire drill every .. helping everyone know what to do/ what's expected / what the procedures are..
Our high adult to child ratio means we can play and have a safe awareness of what we're all doing.
Washing hands reduces contamination/germs/cross infection.

I hope this helps a little xx
