Coffee Free Booktime book packs for reception pupils

Booktime is an exciting UK community programme from education and publishing company Pearson, in association with independent charity Booktrust. It promotes family engagement and reading for pleasure.Following an announcement by Gordon Brown last December, this year, with support from the DfES, Booktime aims to reach every child aged 4-5 in England,.Schools do not need to register or pay anything.In partnership with local authorities and library services, Booktime will supply book packs for schools to give as a gift to every reception pupil - containing the popular illustrated book Funnybones and guidance for parents and carers on shared reading.Schools will also receive free linked classroom resources. Visit www.booktime.pearson.com for further detailsSchools that do not wish to take part should follow the link below and complete the form by 5pm Tuesday 19 June 2007. Otherwise, please await delivery of Booktime materials this Autumn term.
