i downloaded the form but wrote it on rough paper 1st....was going to do it on the form and take it to a staff meeting the following week for staff opinion but ofsted turned up.....she was happy with what i had written but did say they prefer you to do it online.....then as soon as they receive it online you jump to the top of the pile for an inspection because it makes it quicker if they have already read your sef online!!!! she said if they have received your sef online the inspection shouldnt take more than 2 hours.....if they havnt received it it can take all day!!!

Oh flippin'eck, what to do. I don't want to jump to the top of the queue, then again I don't want any 'bad marks'. I've got a Sure Start cluster next week, and I think someone is coming to talk about it. After that I WILL DO IT!

It really isn't too onerous once you get started - it's getting started that's the hardest part.
I did mine in word first and we chatted at staff meetings and added bits etc. then i just cut and paste it onto the online forms.

TIP - if you copy your text in word, highlighting your text and pressing CTRL C, you can paste it directly into the online boxes by then pressing CTRL V

i found when i wanted to sit down and do it i couldnt think of anything to write, i kept coming back to it but still not starting it then one day it wasnt on my to do list but it was on my desk and i just did it...no problems, didnt take very long, didnt even think about it.........and was so pleased to have done it at last

Well Possom and Farley, I'm going to have to bite the bullet aren't I.
I'll try this weekend in between looking for a new car as mine's a write off after the accident. Start back at work big time from Monday :- TA 9-12, Lunch 12-1.30 and oscc (in another school) 2.15-5.45. Oh woe is me! x

SEF update
Didn't do any of the dratted form at week-end, though did get a new car.
Last night I finally plucked up courage and filled in the first 2 sections, will attempt a bit more tonight.
