Are there any playworkers out there?

im a deputy in a nursery but im also supervisor of the after school club and supervisor of the holiday playschemes...so yes i am a playworker. this site is excellent if you need specific help with a problem or if you just want to get something off your chest...people are always there for you. and of course your opinion is always valued

Have been a manager of OSCC 10 years, also TA for 30 years. As you can guess I'm getting on a bit, but still just as passionate about it.

Hey,

I'm a playwork as I work in a out of school club, we do breakfask club before school, club after school hours and then a holiday club when school is closed for holidays like at the moment. I have been in the job for 1 and half years now and just finished my level 3 and love it loads.

Congratulations on finishing your level 3.
I love the kids at the club but am so fed up with the paper work. We go back next week, don't do holiday club, and everything is coming at me like a train!

I am the manager of a pre-school, before ,after and holiday club.
we are small only 16 in our club but have been running for 15 yrs 5 of them as a workers co-op. nice to hear from another playwoeker.
