have you tried marmite potatoes Anj?? I used to find that even the most ardent M haters in the world would wolf them down and declare them to be fantastic!
new potatoes boiled in their skins until tender(but not too tender!)
a good knob of butter
a very good tablespoon of marmite
a splash of hot water
mix everything exxcept the potatoes in a large pan.....a wok is brilliant for this
place over a medium heat on your cooker and stir
when you have a nice, glossy emulsion, add the potatoes
turn them over until well covered and soaked in the mixture, serve!!
these will keep quite happily in a low oven for an hour or so if necessary.:burp:
