Good luck!!
Thanks! I started in February too! I’ve just received feedback for the first unit which I am really pleased with. I managed to get that book from FB marketplace for super cheap thankfully! How are you doing with the course?

Hi.... yeah I'm doing ok although its way harder than I thought it would be and haven't studied for nearly 20 years so its taking some adjusting! Well done on your first assignment I got good feedback for mine too which was a relief! I'm now trying to complete the rest of the unit and have hit the theorists part which i'm really struggling with!!!

Hi, if it helps pages 87+ of the newer STL handbook look briefly at theories of development eg. Piaget - cognitive development. Freud - psychoanalytic, Maslow and Humanist development, Bandura - social learning theory, Skinner - operant conditioning, Watson - behaviourist.

Your tutor should also be providing you with teaching on this xx

Best wishes

Hi. I am also doing the Specialist Teaching Assistant level 3 course from NCC.. Havent got very far yet, finding it difficult 😕
Are you guys volunteering in a school, and selected that course option. Witnesses from teachers etc needed? How do you go about those modules, do we have to plan activities to fit the module requests??

I’m also finding this course quite tricky, I’ve worked as a TA in a primary school for 13 years but have no actual TA qualifications, I'm moving away soon, So i need to get this completed, I’m doing mine through Open Study College and have had no support from them as of yet and the materials they provided aren’t very thorough, I’ve got the supporting teaching and learning book by Louise Burnham and that’s really good , I’m only on to task 5 which is theories of development and i seem to have written loads on this so far but then on other tasks not so much, I just feel like maybe I’ve been out of education to long as I’m struggling to learn .
