Default

this is what I put

There will be times that as a teaching assistant you will find yourself in situations where a child may be difficult to manage their behaviour, in which you should report to other members of staff or even parents these may be -

•If a child is being a danger to themselves you may speak to higher members of staff or to the child's parents.

•If a child is being a danger to others again you may take this to higher staff and depending if you feel comfortable you may speak to their parents or let the class teacher do so.

•If the child is displaying odd behaviors that may indicate the child may be in danger or being abused you should pass this information onto the safeguarding officer.

•Also if any of the situations above or anything else arises with a child with SEN you would also refer to the SENCO.
