Default new course

I have just started this course, Level 3, I was advised by Study House to do level 3. I don't work in a school and am starting from scratch, now wishing I had went against their advice and started with level 2! I'm finding it all very confusing, having no one to ask questions, you're given the reading material and more or less to get on with it! I've only just finished unit 1, but still not sent it away..my mentor at my school placement is off sick, feeling really stressed about it! :/ I found this forum and looks good to ask for help that I know I won't get from the company.

Hi, a very warm welcome to the site. With such an early enrolement is it possible you can ask for a refund? You might then be able to enrol with a local college that offers a fully titled qualification and more direct support?

You'll find the materials a course provider gives you ought to help with their expectations and for knowledge, and competence based qualifications there's good underpinning reading in the STL handbook - level 2 and level 3 on amazon.

Always happy to help on the forums where we can xx

Best wishes

Thank you :) I chose the distance learning as at the moment I can't attend college. My two children have health issues and it's more convenient and flexible to be here for them. I will just have to plod on and do the best I can.

everyone should start at level 2 esp with the new courses which are the most difficult i have ever taught. the level 2 gives you a good grounding in the topics you will be researching extensively in level 3 but then you aren't doing the full course anyway so little point.
