Hi, EYMP 5 4.2 is asking you to look at the following ..

The physical environment - how does your setting set up its play areas/rooms to support children coming together to talk, share toys, resources and also have time away to rest, play independantly?

Staff roles and responsibilities - does everyone know what they're doing in the setting? Supervising focus activities, supporting children who ask questions or show an interest in something?

Training needs and opportunities - how are training needs identified and course opportunities found & booked?

Views of the child - are you able to listen and act on the information children share with ou?

Appropriate involvement of carers - how does your setting use its parent partnerships to support children's SLC needs both at home and in the setting?

A good read for this is the reasoning of Elizabeth Jarman's communication friendly spaces and sustained shared thinking

Best wishes for tomorrow
