The Early Years Grant

For general informatiomn the Early Years Grant

Quote:
Born between these dates
Eligible for a free place from
1st April and 31st August
1st September following their third birthday until statutory school age.

1st September and 31st December
1st January following their third birthday until statutory school age.

1st January and 31st March
1st April following their third birthday until statutory school age.

we havent claimed for this term yet, head count day is on 18th jan and we recieve the grant for the whole term sometime in feb!
seems every county does something different!

we get sent forms a couple of weeks before the new term asking for projected numbers.......................and then get sent 60% of the money from those figures a couple of weeks after the term starts, in this case, the 20th.We then have the formal headcount week a week later, and the remainder of the money a month later.It does help with the cashflow, but is a nightmare if any parents decide to move their child to another group before headcount, as you could end up having to return money.

we get some of the money at the beginning of the term, then they send out the head count forms for us to fill in by a set date, then they send out the rest of the money takes about 6 weeks. Sarah
