Default Level 2 help on portfolio building please?

I'm doing the level 2 supporting teaching and learning in schools at home and finding it quite difficult to get help from my course tutor who I can email only.....
I've asked how I should supply my WPE (as my first assignment was emailed)
Do I need to take photographs and add them to my next emailed assignment? Do I need to write about it and email it in?
I was just told to refer to the handbook I was sent.
It talks about submitting a portfolio but this means nothing to me?
I feel like throwing the towel in already and I'm only on assignment 2!

Thanks for any advice anyone can give :-)
