Hi Suzy - do you feed back to your teacher about how the lesson went - what the children found easy/difficult? If so then you are helping with the planning and [progress assessment because that information tells the teacher whether the lesson needs to be revisited or the next steps that need to be taken. Do you have to fill out any assessment sheets on how the children worked, write comments in their books? Again all of this will inform planning and will show if the children are progressing and if not where action needs to be taken.
