evaluating communication in your setting

Hi Everyone

would like a little guidance to make sure that i don't miss anything that i should have done this is the question.

3.4. Evaluate the effectiveness of speech, language and communication support for children in own setting.

I assume this is asking me to evaluate every one that works in my setting obviously without neaming anybody but just references like we have a new employee so this person will need to attend courses and things like that.What kind of evaluating questions or headings should i be using.

Is it this type of questions and any more that i need to add?

What went well?

What could have been better?

Describe what you have learnt from this experience

What (if anything) will you do / would you do differently in the future

Any guidance would be great. Last question to finish EYMP 5

hi Lynne
i wrote about salt who come into school along with inclusion support and the work they do i also wrote how staff support children along with senco and also parents, i mentioned all the resources we use or specialist equipment such has large key boards and mouse for ict, visual aids things like that and how effective they are

thankyou once again.
So am i right in thinking that you just wrote about what your school has (resource wise) who you have that come into your settin such as The First Visiting team (SALT) and just what is related to communicating.

Did you write about other members of staff?
what works well?
what doesnt work?
and something that you need to be improved?

sorry to be a pain i can do this but just unsure exactly what to write about.

hi Lynne
i wrote about the senco staff i also mentioned that when SALT have been in to assess a child they advise us on activity sheets we could use and post them to us but that they do take a while to come through i only wrote about what happens in my setting and my assesser was pleased with how i wrote about the effectiveness of speech and the fact that things can take a while for them to get things sorted oh and yes i only wrote about what resources my setting has in place
