What are the effects of security and reassurance on children's confidence?

The child will be able to try new activities and know that it is alright to get it wrong. They can make their own mistakes and learn from them
They know that they don't have to be perfect to be loved.

Think of a time you have had a manager who has encouraged you and reassured you when you thought that you were not up to scratch in your job. Did you feel that it was OK to try and that your manager would help you?
Didn't you feel able to talk to your manager about your fears, insecurities etc?
Weren't you able to suggest new ideas or speak up when you were unhappy about something? Well it's the same with children.

Hope this helps
Ann
