Default Unit 306 K3D26 implications on human resources for childrens attachment & continuity

Hi

I'm doing the NVQ level 3 and am finding this site fantastic.

I wonder if any one can help me on this question.

Unit 306 K3D269

What are the implications on human resources for childrens attachment why does there need to be a continuity of care.

Thanks in advance

Sharron

Hi,

We have a thread that helps explore some of the issues attachment and human resources may present - for parents, staff and children - Whose job is it on the first day to...???

Human Resources involve Staff - number of - level of skills - availability - deployment, management and efficiency.

Children can become familiar with faces and people, changes may be unsettling - Key worker / person systems or initiatives help address some of this Keyworker system PDF from PEAL - Keyworker and your child from LSE ..

Keyworker Roles and responsibilities: This page from Canchild - Ontario covers many professions, the content is really good.

Other strategies may include taster sessions, parent staying, part time provision, early collection / later drop off schemes / times. All have an implication on time and organisation of staff and their resources.

A few links on attatchment: Attatchment theory - John Bowlby - the research on this page focusses on adult attachment but the background research is a good read.

Attachment disorder - Article from wikipedia
Reactive attatchment disorder from Acttachment disorder.net
