hi everyone, i have recently started my nvq and am doing unit 201 as have to get it done before i even see my assessor. I am on question 2 which is draw a table to outline childrens communication skills for 0-16 years. I have been searching online and only seem to be able to find up to aged 8 :S anyone got any ideas where i could look. Thanks in advance

with a 6month old you use lots of eye contact, facial expression. singing songs e.g round and round the garden where u can also use touch. also different tones of your voice.
when the child is 2 u get down 2 their level . they use 1 word such as cup, book. u repeat the words and also point 2 the object.singing and constant talking 2 the child also encourages them 2 recognise new words.
4 years thet are putting sentances together "can i have a drink " you encourage them to start saying please and thankyou. read stories , sing , paint, draw write
7 years the child can use constucted sentances and will have a wider vocabulary and such respond to simply instructions, use lots of praise.
16 years they tend 2 favour e-mails, bebo, twitter, text , facebook as a means of communication
