302 - Health & Safety Law

Hi

I am just going through a Health & Safety worksheet to help me gain my knowledge for unit 302. It has asked me to give an example of 1 hazardous substance that might be used in my workplace. I answered: Anti-bacterial spray. Then the next question goes on to ask:

What should you do before a new employee uses this substance under the COSHH Regulations 1994?

Would that be you explain to them about keeping in locked cupboard out of children's reach and use of gloves...or do they mean something else?

Also, another question (sorry!) is:

Give 2 examples of things relevant to health and safety that are covered by the Care Standards Act 2000. That wouldn't be first aid and food hygiene would it??

Thank you for your time xx
