Whoop whoop - yayy Nvq4 Ccld - create a life snake

Hi started this course in October and so far have had little direction or help from my tutor. Before she went on holiday she asked me to "create a life snake (although she wrote life snack) for age groups 0-3 yrs, 3-7yrs, 7-12yrs and 12-16yrs. Have looked on internet and in various books for any help but so far have drawn a blank. Would be grateful for any guidance as to what I am supposed to do. Confused Sue

Hi
I haven't done these myself but have seen them up on the wall in 1 of the classes at the school i work at.

The children drew a snake shaped line/wiggle then at various points along the line in date order drew pictures of major/ important life events such as birth, starting school, birth of a sibling, broke arm etc. Don't think they had to put the actual date just in the order they happened.

They were done on A3 paper as were being displayed however don't suppose the size matters

Hope that helps a bit x

I would suggest it was along the lines Dizzydora has experience of but possibly detailing the development stages for each age group rather than events.

It sounds good, are you in contact with any one else your tutor supports & maybe you could chat to ?

Hi Thank you for your suggestions I think that is probably what she wants because when I queried it she said I should think about transitions rather than developmental milestones. Thanks again

Hi thank you for your suggestion, no I dont know of anyone else my tutor deals with. It would be really helpful. I havent done any other course this way, and will not do again. I now wish I had done it through our local college where at least you have contact and some guidance. Thanks again
