what factors support or dont support a childs development and which theorists say it? then how does that effect your work ?
for example the people around a child influences how they develop as children learn from what they see others do "children learn by observing others" (bandura), further more if a child sees negative behaviours the child is likely to copy and also develop such behaviour, this is supported and proven by baduras famus experiment in .... This reashurch influences practice as in settings, staff are to be good role models and they use actions, words and behaviours that are appropriate and follow policies and procedures. Also people working with children often have a crb check to ensure they are not prone to using violent or other negative behaviour.
other things to think about are abuse-how does this effect development? reasorces? parenting style? environment? area-sure start? facilities? diet? attention love and care? interaction? seperation? genes? etc
